What is Pagefactor? :

Ever been frustrated with 404 errors and "Page not found" messages ? A lot of pages gets moved around on the web, with no redirects or information about their new locations. Pagefactor is a database of moved pages and their new locations.
If you know of any webpages that have been moved around, please add them to our database. In the meanwhile...
Pagefactor also auto generates links to cached copies of webpages, making it easier to check the older copies of web pages.

What are the caching servers Pagefactor links to ?

Pagefactor links to two popular caching servers.
(1) Google: Google has a cache of several webpages. The cache maybe a couple of months old and is updated depending on how often the site is spidered. Google caches are fast, but if the site has been out of service for a few months, the cache gets cleared.
(2) Wayback machine(Internet archive): WaybackMachine has copies of pages from way back. Unlike Google, out of service webpages are not deleted. The site is a bit unreliable, though, it might show links to old pages, their server might respond with "no page found". The site access is slow, but this is a very good server, since it has multiple copies of a page cached

PLEASE NOTE: The links to the caching sites are auto generated. Actual pages at those sites might not exist
